The Hideout is an iconic Chicago bar that opened in the 30s . Located in a 100 year old house, you feel you are in your grandparents basement . Many musicians started their careers here and is well known within the Chicago music scene. The venue is small with limited seating . Drinks are reasonably priced with a huge selection of Chicago beers..PBR,Old Style and Hamms just to name a few. My nephew flew in from Charlotte to play the night I went. A small intimate gathering of friends and family enjoying the music of Low Groves. Absolutely fantastic! Plenty of street parking available. For a true music experience ,you have to visit Tte Hideout and experience the vibe and the music.

The Hideout is my favorite small venue in all of Chicago. It has a really wonderful, unique vibe that very much feels like a family-run joint. The most special thing about it though is the community it has established; there are so many regular artists of all types that you see out any give night, supporting each other and the very vibrant scene that Hideout is a huge part of. Love this place, hope it never leaves

I might come again if an artist I like is playing, but other than that probably not. The staff was rude for no reason? Like the bartender randomly told me I was in her way when I was literally listening to music in the other room and the doorman is just nuts. He wasn't mad at me but he was just being rude to different people all night thinking it was just the coolest and so I just tried to avoid him. Super weird experience overall.

As distinctive and spirited as this place may be, they are, in their bones, deeply familiar: You know what to expect, even if you’ve never been there before. And that’s reassuring. Enjoy the old-school atmosphere and historic bar, relaxing on the front porch or chatting at the bar with the regulars. They don’t do fussy or complicated. What you get is a good drink at a good price, ohh yeah, and live music - so make yourself at home, meet new friends, and see what everyone has been talking about.

Super fun neighborhood dive bar. It’s a short walk to the Salt Shed so it’s the perfect spot to grab drinks before a show. There was a live show the night we went. Great selection of local beers. Fun interior.

Great little music venue with a great little bar. They've got a whole N/A selection which is nice for those that just want to hear music and not feel like they need to order a drink to do so.
